These Terms of Service govern your use of the Pet Today website at pettoday.co.za and purchases made through our store. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms, subject to your rights under applicable law.

About us

Pet Today sells pet products online. That aims to fulfill your pets needs and desires, our goal is to supply quality based products for all household pets. You can contact us at pettodaysa@gmail.com

Using our website

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a purchase agreement or use the store with appropriate parent or guardian authorisation. You agree to provide accurate contact, payment and delivery information.

You must not use our website for unlawful purposes, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or interfere with the operation of the store.

Products and descriptions

We aim to provide accurate product descriptions, images and specifications. Colours may appear differently depending on your screen. Please check sizing, materials, suitability and any safety instructions before purchasing.

Use pet products only as intended and supervise your pet where appropriate. No toy is indestructible. Inspect products regularly and stop using them if they become damaged or unsafe. This guidance does not limit our responsibility for defective or unsafe goods under applicable law.

Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in South African rand (ZAR). Any applicable delivery charges and taxes are shown during checkout before you submit your order.

Payment must be completed using a payment method available at checkout. We may contact you for information reasonably necessary to verify or process your order.

Orders and availability

Products are subject to availability. An order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order. If we cannot fulfil an order because of stock availability, an error or another legitimate reason, we will contact you promptly and arrange an appropriate resolution, including a refund where applicable.

Nothing in these terms permits us to withhold a refund or cancel an order contrary to applicable consumer law.

Delivery

Delivery destinations, charges and estimated timeframes are described in our Shipping Policy and shown at checkout where applicable.

Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address. If an order is delayed, lost or damaged during delivery, contact us so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate remedy. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Returns and refunds

Our Return and Refund Policy explains how to request a return and how eligible refunds are processed. That policy forms part of these terms.

Any voluntary change-of-mind return conditions do not exclude or limit rights provided by applicable law, including rights relating to defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

Subscriptions

If a product is offered as a recurring subscription, its billing frequency, price, delivery arrangements and cancellation conditions must be disclosed before you agree to subscribe. Those disclosed terms apply alongside these Terms of Service.

A product description mentioning monthly deliveries does not replace the need for clear subscription consent and billing terms.

Intellectual property

Website content created by or licensed to Pet Today, including branding, text and images, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the website for personal shopping purposes, but may not reproduce or commercially exploit protected content without permission from the rights holder.

Customer reviews

Reviews you submit must reflect genuine experience and must not contain unlawful, misleading, abusive or infringing content. By submitting a review, you permit Pet Today to display it in connection with our store and products.

We may moderate reviews for these reasons, but will not alter a review to misrepresent your experience.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used and shared when you use our store. Please review it before submitting personal information.

Third-party services

Our store is hosted by Shopify and may use third-party payment and delivery services. Third-party websites linked from our store may have their own terms and privacy policies. This does not remove any obligations Pet Today owes you under applicable law.

Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by misuse of a product contrary to its instructions. This does not exclude responsibility for defective products or our own unlawful conduct.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you. Please contact pettodaysa@gmail.com with a complaint so we can try to resolve it. You retain the right to approach the relevant consumer-protection authority or a court with jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updates will apply prospectively and will not retrospectively remove rights relating to an existing order. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes.
